The term FODMAP is an acronym for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides And Polyols.
This diet restricts all fermentable carbohydrates (sugars). Some examples of these restricted foods are: honey, high fructose fruits, artichokes, garlic, onion, mushrooms, shallots, wheat, rye, barley, dairy, legumes/pulses, chickpeas, lentils, marinated red meat/poultry/seafood, cashew and pistachio nuts. This is a recommended diet for some health disorders, such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) where the body does not have the ability to absorb foods which contain short-chained carbohydrates. We believe your health is important, but so is your right to enjoy sumptuous foods, expertly prepared and presented. That is why we have a range of FODMAP friendly foods available, so you don't have to sit on the sidelines.
