Host a SUCCESSFUL working lunch!

Do you have a special guest or loyal client arriving for an all-day meeting? What about a looming deadline that can’t be ignored? Whatever the reason, we’re here to guide you through hosting the perfect working lunch!

No-one likes to work through their lunch-break. But unfortunately, on any given day in a busy office, a working lunch is sometimes unavoidable. The good news is, we’re experts when it comes to everything corporate and everything food.

So sit back, relax, and let us guide you through hosting a successful working lunch, step-by-step:

  • Size of Working Lunch 
    First things first – how many people are you catering for? Because let’s be honest – nobody wants to go hungry. Under no circumstance should you estimate or guess your guest list without a clear idea – try to be as accurate as possible and always overestimate your head count to allow for last minute attendees!
  • Budget
    It can be far easier to create a ‘per-attendee’ budget to streamline the process. At Impressive Platters, we can create a menu to suit a budget of anywhere from $10 to $50 per attendee. That’s why the next point is so important…
  • Purpose/Theme
    Your budget and food should reflect the purpose and theme of your working lunch. A more formal business lunch with visiting clients or corporate bosses should look and feel different to a we-have-to-finish-this-project-asap lunch among friendly colleagues. Ask yourself: is this an internal office affair for working through the nuts and bolts of an important job? Or are you hosting a special guest while you work towards making an important business decision? Choose an objective and stick to it. And don’t forget to tell us so we can make the most appropriate suggestions!
  • Time and Duration
    Will this be a casual-munch-for-hours type of lunch? Or a fast-food type of deal? This will affect the amount and type of food you should provide. It will also answer the question of whether to hire a coffee and tea station!
