Number of guests – a conference may require catering for anywhere between 20 and 1,000 attendees, so it’s important to let us know! What is the female/male ratio? Males often have a bigger appetite than females! Always overestimate your head count to allow for last minute attendees.
Budget – you may decide to create a ‘per-attendee’ budget to streamline the process. We can create a menu to suit a budget of anywhere from $10 to $100 per attendee.
Purpose/theme – all conferences are different, and the type of food on offer should reflect and support the overall purpose of the event. For example, is the conference predominantly being held as an opportunity to network? Or are important business decisions being made? Let us know so we can make the most appropriate menu suggestions!
Time and duration of the conference – this will affect the amount and type of food you will want to provide. Don’t forget to build in time for the setting up and service of food, if applicable.
Layout/size of location – it’s important to consider the layout of your conference space and plan ahead – where will you place your food and drink stations? Will they be in the same room as the conference, or in a separate space? This will affect whether you need to allow time at the close of each conference session to bring in the food, or whether it can be ready and waiting.
All day Coffee & Tea Stations– depending on the number of attendees, you may require more than one Coffee & Tea Station to avoid high traffic complications.
Does your event require wait and/or bar staff? Or a function supervisor who will make your life a lot easier by taking control of the service of food and beverages. Will your event suffer without this service?
What food and drink options will best suit the nature of your event? Sweet or savoury, or a mix of both? See our conference food suggestions and links to our range of gourmet goods below.
OUR CONFERENCE MENU SUGGESTIONS:

Dinner: we highly recommend a buffet-style dinner for your guests, including first-class dishes such as our Coconut Chicken Curry, Lamb Shanks with Barley, Grilled Barramundi with Fennel, and a generous serve of lip-smacking sides, such as Mediterranean Vegies, Parmesan Green Beans, Turkish Pilaf, and our colourful range of Hand Cut Fat Chips.
Drinks: no conference is complete without one or more of our All Day Tea and Coffee Stations. We also suggest hiring one of our Nespresso Machines for those highly desired cappuccinos and lattes. We also have a range of sparkling mineral waters and fresh juices to choose from, which are available in both individual and bulk sizes.
